Do we need, or is it recommended, to get a CTP Extension for these 'training' days?

I'm with RACQ at the moment, rego carried over from previous owner, and have heard they're a bit more painful.

Will be switching to Suncorp at renewal and prior to the Club Lakeside track day next month as I know it's a necessity for that day.

Suncorp offers some extra personal injury policy included with their CTP for drivers over 25 so may as well switch over not just for ease of CTP extension.

As these days are training days it is not required for you to get a CTP extension for your car.

Unless you have in car timing there is no timing done on the day done by SDT. Hopefully the guys will be too busy in the cars as you ask for instruction and tips to improve your driving so you can take a second or so off your PB's at Lakeside in November......

On behalf of others keeping tabs and sitting on the fence; can people still register?

Yes, if there are spots left.

SDT limit the number of cars to give everyone as much track time as possible.

Contact SDT directly to register and pay.

Contact Angela at SDT. Haven't spoken to her since Monday but I'm thinking there should still be a few spots available, especially with ausbouy and Josh unable to attend.

Plus the Rodeo is in town (Warwick).
Bring the family. Make a weekend of it.

Guys, i think you've underestimated the timeline. I just read the fact sheet for morgan park and the briefing starts at 7:40 and they suggest we get there at 7:20. So i suggest we tack on another 30minutes or so earlier;

- meet at BP near Middle Road approx 0420
- leave at 0430 sharp after a top up if required
- googlemaps says 37mins to Aratula so arrive approx 0515
- have brekky and aim to leave 0600 sharp, if not earlier.
- googlmaps says 73mins to morgan park so arrival time approx 0715

This gives us a good buffer in case theres a bottleneck due to the rodeo or other contingency.

Good plan. I need to do a tyre change at Morgan Park first up.

Message received.

I'm going to miss my sleep :(

I'll aim for catching you at Aratula before 6am.

Will we all need to add air to tyres in Warwick?
Do I plan to arrive at Morgan Park with half a tank? Or for a first timer, just looking to learn the lines and have a bit of a blat, is fuel level pretty irrelevant?
