Had new turf put down in the whole backyard last week.
Havent had a drop since - Bayside
Its getting cooked and i dare say i will get a big water bill next quarter trying to stop it drying and frying.

Storms now forecast Friday thru to Monday - our luck they will be 'dry' and deliver nothing but heartache instead of water. Then again I have had over 75mm this month

The easiest way to guarantee rain is to wash your car or give your garden a much needed watering - not long after the rain will come.

I wish it would rain also. I covered my lawn in $500 of stinky top dressing yesterday in the hope of big rains. Of course the BOM got as all excited for no reason again.

It's coming - my lawns were verdent green Wednesday, two days of heat and hot winds and a lovely shade of brown now

Still coming? Was out this morning at five o'clock spraying one hundred dollar bills on the lawn since last nights storm netted a total of zero millimeters of rain.

Re: Brisbane Incoming!
Yeah one tank. 5000L. No real rain in past 3 weeks. Emptied it late yesterday. Stopped watering last night when tank water ran out. Thought incoming storms and 80% chance of rain (BOM prediction) would finish off the rest.
The top dressing went down on Thursday due to reports of incoming weather:-
Thursday night = 0 millimeters, waited for rain.
Friday Night = 0 millimeter, waited for rain.
Saturday night = 0 millimeters, couldn't wait longer for rain, used tank water to do 75% of lawn.
Sunday = unknown millimeters yet , still waiting for rain, used mains water to do 25% of lawn.
At least it is safe for 48 hours now some water is on it. I would've got the stuff delivered Saturday morning if I had known 3 storm warnings in 3 days would have collected a total of zero millimeters. Stuff happens. It will rain sometime soon.

It didn't miss Brisbane metropolitan area by much and there was rain all around us. When you consider the forecast area, it was pretty accurate.

Re: Brisbane Incoming!
If rain is needed there is one sure fire way to bring it on for a few days. It involves me taking the camping gear off the garage shelf and placing it in a car boot with the intent of actually using the camping gear.

Ha! I was thinking I could go out and wash a car or two - that'll bring another flood.

Hope our new solar panels don't get broken.
Some very small hail in Jindalee and tanks (4000 litres) are now full!
