Hi Gavatron, good to meet you on the road last Tues. You seemed very pleased with your NC although your bike mates were less impressed! Nice car, nice colour IMO. We had a great drive that day - one of the best ever actually. How about you?

Thanks for posting.

Yeah - followed mousemota's ND at Lakeside Happy Laps late last year, and it had epic body roll. It's absolutely the first thing you'd fix. Danny's thing was epically quick at QR, somewhere you'd think it would struggle, up with a Golf R that was running around.

Great to meet the crew on the road earlier this week in the Snowy region.

The NC arrived Friday afternoon on a truck from QLD 12 minutes after I arrived home from a 5 day bike Snowy trip! Timing was perfect!

I will load up photos using tap talk soon.

It was great meeting members from the NSW MX5 club. Great cars and great blokes!

Gavatron :)

Looks super clean. Winning blue(?) is a great colour, it's a shame it was only offered towards the start of the NCs life.

It is a shame they offered the colour for only a limited period. But not for me :)a road wirthy certificate followed by Vic Roads registration will see me driving by end of the week.

I'll post a new discussion on my progress. I'm planning on fixing the terrible asthma it has... She will also hit the gym for squats to build up muscles on all four corners..

Yesterday first drive.... I look forward to more!

I must say that I'm very surprised in two aspects of the car. From my research leading up to the purchase, reviews of the NC commented that suspension was too soft and that power was uninspiring.

Living on the Mornington Peninsula, many of the roads are average. In fact, many of the roads in Victoria are average. I ride a motorcycle and regularly travel into the high country and beyond. They are shocking...But that's another story...

The suspension is terrific! It soaks up the bumps beautifully. The car is comfortable! And that's important for my passenger. The wife! Or one of the kids...

I took the car up Arthur's Seat on my own and pushed the handling. Tyres were loosing grip when pushed. Suspension was pretty good. Not much roll. I think I'll keep driving for a while before I entertain suspension changes. If I was to change, I would need to retain the comfortable feel and see handling improvements.

The power is pretty good! I've owned some powerful Cars and this is no where up to those, however it has a power range that is fun from 4000 - 7000 rpm.

I will however be taking the car to get the asthma sorted out by a Melbourne MX5 exhaust specialist. I believe with a better intake of air, as well as faster unrestricted removal of exhaust airflow, the car will be sharper both in responsiveness and sound.

I will begin a thread in the appropriate area on my progress. I'm travelling a bit in May and June so it will all happen during some time away.

Tron..

There is a lot to be said for the OEM induction system, it may just need a new filter. GWR Roadsport mufflers are very popular ( I have one like this.. http://www.good-win-racing.com/Mazda-Pe ... -1218.html ) if you are considering a full system then one of these might be a better option to build on http://www.good-win-racing.com/Mazda-Pe ... 13372.html

When you turn your car on, does it return the favour?
