You are just paying for parts and a lot of work and no guarantee of condition. Its ok to guess value of used parts but another to get some of those prices. Also when you have finished what is really worth in this day of cheap cars?

Thank you Dan, this fits perfectly with my post, the baby boomers (of which I am one) have a horrid fixation with money and believe that they will live forever. I did not work my arse off to educate my 3 children so that they could sit back and wait and as such I am more than intent on spending my wealth on stuff for me.

High quality well observed graphage NitroDann, which applies to 99% of my customers, although in my case I appear to be going in the opposite direction - would love to give you a standard looking NB8B/C and some money and collect it a couple of weeks later, knowing that you already know exactly what I want it to do.

I agree with Dann.

You can buy better used suspension, wheels, tyres, lsd and turbo kit, and still have a lot of change from $5,500.

The air conditioning is the only factor for the SE. But on said wrecked car, it doesn't hold any value.

SE - If you have a lot of money, instead of being an arsehole on the MX5 forums, why don't you help the world a bit? Work in a animal refuge? Make a food donation to a group that supports mums and children escaping domestic violence?
