Whats this ND worth?

Postby beavis » Tue May 31, 2016 10:15 am

It's a little worse for wear.

Dash shows Ave consumption of 12l/100km :| ...should be under 8l/100km

Yeah, but could have been just reset and dríven around the block so no big drama there. Good seats and ,of course ,Beavis the rear end looks good for that all important 3.5 diff!! no idea what it will make .

So that's what $40K worth of damage looks like these days.

So are you suggesting it was being dríven fairly hard before the crash?

not suggesting anything per se, it was just an observation. Our ND averages about 7.5l/100km as a daily driver.

writing off a car can mean very little in terms of external damage. The cost of repairs in writing off cars that once were just superficial wounds! is alive and not so well That car was cactus.

What's the plan for the diff? Is it interchangeable?

Interesting to see the active bonnet deployed.

Don't worry about the fuel consumption display. BARMY does between 8.5 and 48L/100kms. 12.3 is at the lower end of that range.
UK since return: Standard NC2 (horrid), C200K, ND2 BBR, NC2 BBR200 (loved it), NC BBR300 (better than BARMY), V-Special, turbo NB8B (my 84th car)

So what has happened here? It looks like the airbags have not fired, but what is that white stuff in the driver's footwell? The bonnet pyros look like they might have fired, and there is certainly a lot of front end damage ... perhaps it fell off a transporter? The odo reading has to be a trip reading, a year old car should have 10 times that.

More likely it was hit when parked. Ignition off means airbags don't deploy. It looks very repairable as a track car, doesn't it?

Between other ND's, I think it is interchangeable. The 1.5auto ratio is the highest at 4.1.

Old man took a look at the black one, lots of chassis damage. He didn't think it was worth fixing.

It went for $4750 plus GST last week but evidently the buyer changed their mind and it is back up for sale again...

Not sure about the white one but current prices suggest somewhere in the $4K-$5K range (plus GST and fees).

Another smashed one has come up in NSW
http://www.pickles.com.au/damaged-salvage/item/-/details/CP-06-15--Mazda--MX-5--Coupe/2002753373

Anyone know who would buy these?
I would like to get in touch with the person and offer them money for parts.
If it were in VIC I would consider bidding myself.

Headlights are over $2.5 k each, so not really worth much, especially a 1.5
NC Roadie, NC Racey, ND Racey….and a 30AE

Plus several others in the bone yard...
