Re: The Roadster NA Journey Begins
A few more extra jobs today.
When plugging the laptop in there was nowhere to rest it. Previously it was put on the passenger seat or the floor, however the floor space is now occupied by Haltech stuff...
A quick cover was bent up and attached to the aluminium seat brackets, this way the Haltech stuff has protection and there is a flat spot to rest the laptop. Will make this cover up out of lighter material in the future. Also relocated the fire extinguisher, whilst there was little chance of it crushing the wires I thought better safe than sorry. In addition the racelogic display has been put back to its original location (somebody made that suggestion and may have been right).
I'm going green, at least on the inside for the time being, but not the environmental type green

Relocated fire extinguisher, easier to get at...

Small change to the drivers area

Just found this footage from WTAC 2016, car will not sound like this at Sandown look at 7m17s

Re: The Roadster NA Journey Begins
Car washed, still to be polished. Final check for Sandown, thanks to Randy from the Vic MX5 Car for answering my emails and phone calls. Sounds like it will be a fun day, maybe not the best place to test new brakes...
Washed and ready to go back in the shed.

Re: The Roadster NA Journey Begins
Very hot day today.... Fixed the area where the bonnet rubbed on the airbox as well as tested some paint out (on the airbox), started to get 'stuff' ready for Sandown and complete the scrutineering form as a pre-check.
Paint tested was the Dupliclor Metalcast (Green) and used the base instead of polishing the airbox (too hot and too lazy).

Also did a piece that still had paint on it. The paint can be used over existing, hence the base, but in the end you can see where there was existing paint.

End result. Not my choice of green, maybe with other parts in the engine bay in a similar colour (or the whole engine bay) it could look acceptable.

I also fixed (made larger) the hole in the bonnet where the air box was rubbing

Every time I look at the pictures of this beastie magpie, I find that I have a little bit of drool that I need to rub from my chin
