Ok, agree to disagree. Move on and enjoy driving your stock and/or modified MX-5.

Never been keen on using the ban hammer.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Hi guys, sorry for not posting. You know what they say, 'no time, lots of money, no money, lots of time'.

One component of the Ltd Ed RF that I haven't dwelt on are the Bilstein shocks. The name and reputation is there, as is the quality. However, I don't really know what to expect, I'll be paying close attention when my wife gets the car, which looks likely to be March next year. Here's a good pic of the Bilsteins.

Ah yes, the holy trinity. Bilstein shocks with forged BBS wheels and Brembo brakes

Likely to be the same ones they fit standard on the Abarth 124. Don’t know if the springs are any different on the LE but the Abarth’s are about 25% than the RF’s stock springs.

My wife’s Abarth is a lot stiffer and flatter than my RF GT (which has 20% stiffer Eibach springs on it) and the ride is a fair bit more jiggly. Personally, I prefer the RF as a road car.

Now this is interesting. I would've expected the exact opposite, namely, the RF for your better half and the Abarth for you. Could you share with us the reasons as to why your wife prefers the Abarth over the RF?

I'll share a secret with everyone. One of the best things you can ever do for the fairer sex is to give them an MX5 all for themselves! They love it!!

My wife likes both the RF and the Abarth. Her car was due to be turned over late last year and the Abarth turned up first. See walked into one of her dealerships (she works for AHG) and the Abarth was there and she bought it immediately. My BRZ had to be turned over in Feb and I thought that if she’d bought the Abarth why don’t I get the RF? That’s pretty much how it played out. I have to say though that if she’d bought the RF I’m not sure I’d have bought the Abarth. I’m really not a convertible guy.

Ask me which one I prefer to drive? I’d give the nod to the MX5 by a whisker.

This guy Pete writes like he's trying to (badly) market the car.

I've placed an order for this little beauty and it's coming this week, NOT in Feb/March 2018. This is the greatest, most complete smart watch ever made. The Samsung Gear S2 is a remarkable little watch, absolutely perfect in its basic fundamentals, but it lacked all the authentic high end equipment like "high Wank Factor" etc. However, this very special, limited edition, Samsung Gear S3 Frontier fixes all that and represents the coming of age for all smart watches. Now, I'm a traditional watch guy, and wouldn't consider cheap Chinese junk knock-offs. It must be original and factory installed. Lord knows, checking out some of the monstrosities on the web, you guys have cemented my opinion. Of course, this smart watch is not for everybody, just like the paraphernalia says. It's not designed to be. It's a halo watch for those who want something extra special. Enjoy the photo!

Another important consideration concerning the Ltd Ed RF is the two tone colour scheme. Which colour will flatter the two tone scheme and make the car look its absolute best, irrespective of our subjective preferences? This put me in a curious dilemma. We initially wanted red, but soul red is too common and I find it way too dark. This will dull the two tone effect. Machine grey is gorgeous but it's also very dark, so the same objection applies.

We are kind of disappointed in choosing snowflake pearl white mica. Firstly, my 370z is shiro white. However, I have to say, it's a beautiful pearl white colour. We put two and two together, and decided, somewhat unwillingly, to go for pearl white. Oh boy, those two tone pearl white Jaguar f types are nothing short of stunning.

Image

The only thing to note about the photo is that it hasn't got the Kurio aero kit, which is black. I think together with the holy trinity of forged BBS wheels, Brembos and Bilsteins, the pearl white Ltd Ed RF will look best!!!

Just as an aside, some of you guys need to stop punching air.
