Looking back on my goals for this year
Track:
QR Sprint 1:00.0 - 00:59.903
QR Clubman 1:03.0 - 01:03.765
QR National 1:27.0 - 01:27.582
Lakeside 1:03.0 - 01:03.824
Morgan Park (E) 1:14.5 - 01:12.883
Morgan Park (K) 1:35.0 - 01:31.754
EC GP 1:50.0 - 01:52.218 (failed badly)
Sandown 1:40.0 - 01:30.406

Car:
Rewire - FAILED
Add lightness - FAILED

All up managed over 1,500 laps on various tracks this year. So more than happy with myself and the car.

Go faster through Turn 1? Get A050s?

On a good run I do ~170 km/h at the apex of turn 1 without any aero. With that I might jag a 1.53 in my modified road registered 1.6. Some in almost standard 1.8 NBs can jag a 1.52 (e.g. Gus). Many MX5s with significant aero are well below 1.50.00.

Having said that, I believe that the GP track is getting slower due to bumps forming in turn 1.

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

If you are not old enough to not be not bothered by it, that is very bad news indeed Okibi. I have no idea what the answer is. Maybe we need to question immigration rates?

Utilising your skill set, is there no lateral placement they can relocate you to? Its frustrating how Govt departments screw their employees around

I think it's pretty widespread through most industries these days. No loyalty or job security anymore. But have to also add I see it happening on both sides, where the younger generation wants more flexible mobility.

Makes it tough for those who do want to be more settled.

my work days are long gone- last job nearly 30 years. Workers today are generally poorly treated- so much for health and safety and companies standing for lofty ideals but not practising what they profess to provide. I really am sympathetic at people not having security in their employment. The Govts hands off for manufacturing is a clear sign that the workers have little real support from the Govt. In the meantime greedy multi nationals rake in obscene profits and pay little tax. Insofar as younger people are concerned they have little choice about security- they are forced to re invent themselves - no fun wondering how to pay the bills. The unemployment rate is fudged by crazy criteria of a few hours a week- full time should mean full time. Part time is often hard time.
