Re: What have you done today/recently to your 5?
Fitted the wideband o2 sensor ready for the new ecu.
Also Fitted my extractors and made up a brace to take some of the load off the flange (no flex join anywhere)
And discovered that my silicone intake elbow from years ago has a leak where the factory clamp makes it purse open a little.
So yeah, need to replace my intake, just having trouble finding a 65mm to 76mm elbow (oem maf is 70mm, but 76 is far easier to buy filters for, and I Won't need the maf with the ecu)

Fitted new mohair EZon soft top which I bought for the BRG Na.
Probably not a difficult job but never having done a soft top before a bit a of a challenge.
Looks alright though. I'll just have to fit the soft ends to the frames once the fabric has settled down

Looks fantastic, well done.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Added some revlimiter badges to the throttle bodies.

Before/beforethis/after photos!
Finally finished bolting the body back together. A quick service, new oils/plugs/leads and a trip to the transport department for rego and its ready for a drive....after 12 long months!!!
Time to hit up Lakeside and ruin all my hard work!

Not the colour most people would think of for an NA but it really seems to work well on it. Well done.

Thanks mate. It was a gamble that paid off. I didn't want to do something that was commonly done. The colour itself didn't have a name so I've dubbed it "Fanta Sea"

Looks great in "Fanta Sea" but the white wheels don't look right to me - might I suggest bronze?

Ill throw a photoshop together and sus it out. At the moment theyre just a light coat of export white for science. Once I add a bit more white (Rego plate/Mazda decal on the nose and a banner) it should even out the contrast. TSIs will be black because of a last minute mistake (I ran over my factory ones haha) and the black wing might go back on.

Each to their own, but I reckon the white wheels look great and help to pull off the orange look..

The old black center/polished lips looked terrible. Hence why the quick trip to SCA for my export goodness. $20 is cheap to try something and succeed

Also like the white wheels. Great to see a few 5's being treated differently lately.

Spotted a thatched roof on an MX-5 but I did not like it much. The guy said that birds nested in his roof but he was very chirpy about it.

With my exterior nearly finished I have started on the interior.
Reckon I will be off the road for a few months as I do everything I have planned.
