Sounds like a mission, i'm sure those hours will be quickly forgotten when you can see out the rear window.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Arranged a box of 'stuff' to be delivered for it... However, there is a distinct possibility that its dispatch will be delayed whilst gaps in the box are filled with other parts

Dropped it off at the tuner to well, get it tuned.
Tomorrow after lunch I pick it up and find out how much power it makes.
When I left today it had hit 85rwkw on the rough tune, and had the the rev limiter raised to actually suit my gauges lol (not hat I'll be revving to 7500, but nice to know I can if I occasionally need to)

All tuned, result 85.8rwkw at 6289rpm
Tune is about 99% spot on, only issue is that on sudden throttle stabs from idle it drops revs and occasionally stalls.
But I suspect that's more a limitation of the adaptronic and speed density tuning rather than the tune.
I'll drive it a few weeks and report back to them if it has any issues.

I try not to annoy people by asking many questions about aftermarket tuning as I don't intend getting into that area myself - but I can't help asking what "the adaptronic and speed density tuning" means?

Adaptronic is the brand of ecu I am using.
Speed density tuning is where you don't have an air flow meter and the tune relies on air temp, manifold pressure, and throttle position.
The factory ecu conversely does not measure manifold pressure and is tuned via throttle position, air flow, and air temp (it has a fancy name but I forget what it's called)

Ah thanks - the ecu I knew, but "speed density tuning" I'd never heard before.

Nah... Needs some work on acceleration enrichment. This is normal unless the ECU has been told to react quickly and add some fuel. An Adaptronic should be more than capable of smooth tps transitions.

Took it for the first shakedown run since buying it last weekend. Wanted something simple and not too far from home in case of any issues so ran up through Galston Gorge and the old Pac to PITS for breakfast and back the same way. Ran perfectly

Yeah I figure it's just a fine tuning thing for the sub 1100rpm area.
accel enrichment is spot on at every other rpm, just that idle to revving bit is slightly off.
The shop price includes return visits if any stuff like this pops up, so I'll give them a call.in a couple do weeks.

Made a video of 4 sessions over 3 years on SMSP GP. Used Premier Pro to speed up the slower laps so that they started and ended up at the same time. It allows the video to be paused so you can compare different speeds/lines. The Racelogic software does this automatically, but these cannot be shared.

Re: What have you done today/recently to your 5?
Cleaned my electric window switches on my NA.
My driver's side window would sometimes not go down or would stutter but always went up perfectly so i guessed the problem was with the switch.
Found a YouTube video on how to perform this simple task and voilà, window goes down perfectly now!
The contacts on the rocker switches were literally black from 24 years of carbon build up.
