Looks great Andy!
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Re: What have you done today/recently to your 5?
Over the last few weeks i've been designing modern rear lights, wanting to get rid of the last few lightbulbs/globes whatever from the roadster.
Project is zero compromise on visibility, uses less power then the stock bulbs while providing much much muuuuuch better brightness in midday light. The brightness is throttled down with *significantly* less power consumption for night use (parklights less then 1w per side). Animation sequencing will be revised for the completed version, and has a few little tricks up it sleeve just like my front sequentials have.
The youtube link below shows a demo program running on a prototype set
(...and i'm annoyed with my typo on the opening graphic, as its 74 segments not 55 meh)

Re: What have you done today/recently to your 5?
Installed new engine mounts (drops engine 1/2")

Changed pads

Installed steering angle sensor

VNet modules (steering angle, 2 x brake pressures, still to plug in 2 front suspension sensors)

Rear Vnet suspension modules (capable of 500hz sample rates). Also added the radio box

Drilled another hole in another hardtop

Installed a Racepak CL-1

You’ve been busy Mark. Any fix on front sensor issue yet?

Re: What have you done today/recently to your 5?
Sort of, have figured out the method. When I change out the upper arms I will enlarge one of the existing holes (on the milling machine) in the upper arm then make a mount on the lower arm. The milling machine will be easier and neater... I may have a local fabricator weld a tab on once I decide exactly where it will attach on the lower arm. The test fit looks promising.

A longer bolt at the top will put the top in the right location so that the sensor has free movement. The top will be stopped from moving with some jam nuts. This will also allow some fine adjustment. The plan is to use my old sensors on a track day, if they are not damaged then the new ones will be installed

Rear already in place

Got the dash in and wired finally. New engine loom and stripped body loom wiring complete. Final assembly time and on to sensor calibration etc....and then startup

Installed a bike rack over the weekend, was my first ride in 1764 days (but who's counting). Fairly pleased with the outcome, no rattles and stable at speed with a cross wind.

I bought Twinlol's NB, some recent pictures are here.

Re: What have you done today/recently to your 5?
Thanks mate.
After a long wait i have finally been able to secure a set of Falken RT615K+ tyres in 195/60/14 for the Corns CMC03 rims. Finding decent tyres in 14" is a pain in the ####, just as i was about to order a set of the less grippy ZE 912 Falkens i asked the local tyrepower to check on stock availability for the 615's and was surprised when he replied that limited sets were due tomorrow at the distributor in brizzy. Pays to ask(again and again) i guess!

Re: What have you done today/recently to your 5?
615 is certainly an old design...but its forefather the 215 is the most exciting street Tyre Ive ever dríven on.
615 was more refined , didn't need warming up. was a little quicker around the local racetrack...just not as exciting
unsure if modern tyres are any better....its been at least 8 years since ive dríven on 615's
