How do you fit the filter over the bellmouth and secure it?

Long overdue oil & filter change. Fitted NitroDann's downpipe bracket that he sent me. Removed the TDR front splitter as feel like a more factory look lately. Then gave the whole undercarriage a good clean while under there.

Just put some trashy bling led lights on Patchy. With a halo day lights The halo becomes the indicator. But the brightness of these lights is insane compared to 30 year old sealed beams they replaced. I recall even 12 years ago when we used to tear up the tarmac along Putty road I used to get whoever was behind me to put the high beams on so I could actually see.

Rebuilt the drivers window regulator after one of the cables snapped. Not not an overly difficult job just fiddly, but so worth it as it made a noticeable difference. Wish I had done it sooner.

I thought about repairing the stuff that needs fixing.
But didnt move beyond thinking about it.

- Exhaust is leaking like a sieve (have given up on this one)
Need to re-seal the baffles in the rocker cover
Replace the PCV grommet
find the oil leaks on the engine and fix them
replace the blown tail lamp bulb
replace the blown parking lamp bulb
replace the blown bulbs in the speedo cluster
replace the torn gear shift boot
replace the window guides
replace the driver's door card with the big hole in it

I've been spending a fair bit of time helping with other's to do lists lately but not much has happened on twogun.
A significant oil pan leak needs addressing, the recent rains have prioritised finessing the hardtop mounting, ride height needs raising...
I did manage to install the Ken Auto Taikan door bushes and am well impressed with the results.
A booster delete project in the works for over two years is coming to fruition after receiving much needed help and advice from certain well respected players in the field.

Filled it full of 98 fuel and took it for a tuning run through the hills. Managed to hit a few elusive load points to fill out the VE map.
Took a few happy snaps.

Just out of Eltham (nsw).
The road through Eltham follows the rail line out of town and there is a lengthy trestle with this farmer's road ducking underneath.
There is a neat looking defunct rail depot near the roundabout in Eltham village too. A few photogenic spots around the area worth investigating.

Re: What have you done today/recently to your 5?
Finally took the SE of its stands.
Now has fitted: Nitro Dann 3" exhaust, Nitro Dann CAI, Nitro Dann throttle body elbow. Skunk 2 Throttle body, 440 injectors, Walbro fuel pump, Chiptorque reprogram to ECU, and a proper size intercooler.
Started first time which was a relief.
I've taken it for a run round the local streets so no ideas about performance but it sounds alright.
Longer test tomorrow then the MX5 club round one for the motorsport on Sunday. I'm not expecting anything spectacular.
